It’s official — the LinkedIn algorithm has changed.

Here’s the scoop:

• LinkedIn has changed its algorithm to prioritize posts that contain knowledge and advice.

• The company wants to make sure that its users are getting the most out of the platform by helping them learn and grow professionally.

• To get more views on your posts, focus on sharing content that is relevant to your target audience and that provides value.

• You should also aim to write posts that are well-written and engaging.

• LinkedIn is also looking to reward posts that generate meaningful conversations.

When I began my career a decade ago, there weren’t as many portfolios sites to showcase my work. I tried Contently and eventually settled on hosting my own portfolio on my website.

If you have a side hustle or skills that you want to promote, it's worthwhile to keep a portfolio online so other people can see what you're capable of: You can list the website at the end of your emails, on your business cards, in your social media profiles, and anywhere else you can think to feature it. There are more of these portfolio builders than you might have realized, all ready and waiting to get your work displayed online without you needing to have any web coding experience.
