Mentorship Can Increase Small Business Success

Having a mentor can change the playing field for a small business. In my opinion, mentors are indispensable. Starting a new business can be stressful, overwhelming, and daunting. Why not work with someone who has already gone through the process? Work smarter, not harder! Experienced business owners can help with the technical parts of obtaining licenses/permits, developing a business plan, find the right loans and even developing a marketing strategy to grow your brand and reach.

Working with an experienced entrepreneur can actually increase the success of your business, research says. A 2014 survey conducted by the UPS Store found that 70 percent of small businesses that received mentorship survived more than five years — which was two times the survival rate of businesses with no mentors. The survey also found that 88 percent of business reported that having a mentor was crucial.

Now that you know a business mentor is valuable let’s pair you with one!
