2020 HAS BEEN SO RUDE TO US 🙄 First Kobe, now this COVID-19 pandemic? My heart can’t take it!
Being quarantined has shifted the way we work, the way we educate, the way we design, the way we operate, and even the way we’re marketing. Our lives have been upended in every way possible. This change has been so nerve-wracking, yet liberating at the same damn time, it’s making my head hurt! We are surely in strange times.
As a full-time youth advisor, entrepreneur and student, I miss out on creative conferences, brunches, meetups, and parties all the time. I’m so wrapped up in school projects, providing quality work to clients, caring for students and building this brand, that I can barely get out of the house for a drink!
Now that everyone is home, though, I’ve been able to connect now more than ever and I love it.
Self-quarantine is exhausting, traumatic, and uneasy for many of us. Trust me, I feel it, too. I had to negotiate with my employer to get paid during this time, I lost two clients, dealing with a chronic illness and can’t get my usual medical care, and that’s not even the half!
But I am so determined to be well and stay centered as our world is transforming into the unknown. To keep myself motivated and at peace, I’ve attended virtual dance parties, creative meetings, lectures, and live events to connect with my tribe, learn from new people, and practice self-care. So here are the events I’ve gone to over the past week. NO MORE FEAR OF MISSING OUT!
